Not long ago, I found a song I really liked and which inspired the name for this blog: Matt Maher’s “Garden” from the “Alive Again” album. There is a small phrase that stuck with me. At the end of the chorus, it says “You’re making my heart a garden.” And we can infer many things from that little phrase.
FIRST: WE NEED A GARDENER. Our hearts are potential gardens, but we need a Gardener to take care of it.
SECOND: WE ARE NOT A GARDEN… YET. We were once barren land, full of weeds and trash, but the Gardener is in the process of transforming us into beautiful gardens.
THIRD: A GARDEN MUST BEAR FRUIT. This is its ultimate purpose.
FOURTH: GARDENS ARE DIVERSE. Each garden is different than the rest. It is made up of many different kind of flowers, which represent our experiences and beliefs, and that will ultimately make each garden unique.
This blog is a record of the flowers [experiences] that make up my garden [heart]. I hope you are able to see the Gardener working in me through my blog posts, and that I can bear fruit for you to eat. Bon appétit!

¿Este blog trata sobre la jardinería? Bueno, en realidad no … al menos no literalmente, sino metafóricamente.
No hace mucho tiempo, descubrí una canción que realmente me gustó y que inspiró el nombre de este blog: “Garden (Jardín)” de Matt Maher, del álbum “Alive Again”. Hay una pequeña frase que se quedó grabada en mí. Al final del coro, dice: “Tú estás convirtiendo mi corazón en un jardín”. Y podemos deducir muchas cosas de esa pequeña frase.
PRIMERO: NECESITAMOS UN JARDINERO. Nuestros corazones son jardines potenciales, pero necesitamos que el Jardinero cuide de ellos.
SEGUNDO: NO SOMOS UN JARDÍN … AÚN. Una vez eramos terreno estéril, lleno de maleza y basura, pero el Jardinero está en el proceso de transformarnos en un bello jardín.
TERCERO: UN JARDIN DEBE DAR FRUTOS. Este es su fin primordial.
CUARTO: LOS JARDINES SON DIVERSOS. Cada jardín es diferente al resto. Está compuesto de diferentes tipos de flores, que representan nuestras experiencias y creencias, que hará que cada jardín sea único.
Este blog es un registro de las flores [experiencias] que componen mi jardín [corazón]. Espero que puedas ver al Jardinero obrando en mí a través de mi blog, y que yo pueda dar frutos para que puedas comer de ellos. Bon appétit!
